We chew, we bite, and we smile – We use our teeth for all sorts of actions. Taking care of your teeth can prevent expensive dental procedures in the future. Even if you have good teeth, it’s important to take the right steps every day to take care of teeth and prevent problems. Good oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist will help you to maintain healthy teeth and gums. By following some basic dental care tips, you can make sure your teeth remain healthy for a long time:

1. Brush Your Teeth Before Going to Bed
Brush twice a day will keep your teeth clean and healthy. Best time to brush is after meals. Still, many of us avoid brushing our teeth at night. But brushing before bed eliminates the germs and plaque that accumulated throughout the day.

2. Brush Properly
The way you brush is very important. Gently move the brush back and forth in tooth-wide strokes. Brush the outer surfaces, the inner surfaces, and the chewing surfaces of the teeth properly.

3. Don’t Neglect Your Tongue
Don’t forget to brush your tongue, while brushing your teeth. It helps to fight the plaque and bacteria in your mouth. Tongue brushing also helps to stop bad breath.

4. Floss Your Teeth Daily
We should all floss at least once a day. It helps to prevent cavities and gum disease.

5. Use Fluoridated Toothpaste
When you use fluoride toothpaste, you’re strengthening your tooth enamel, which helps to harden tooth enamel and reduce the risk of decay.

6. Choose Your Beverages Wisely
What you drink can affect the health of your teeth. Beverages such as soft drinks, acidic juices, and sugary juices have been targeted for tooth decay. Drinking less soda and more water, milk and fresh juices help to protect your teeth.

7. Limit Sugary and Acidic Foods
Bacteria in dental plaque change sugars into acids, which erode the enamel of your teeth. These acids lead to cavities. So that avoid such foods altogether.

8. Visit Your Dentist At-least Twice a Year
You should visit your dentist if you have a dental problem such as a toothache or bleeding gums.

From normal routine cleanings to severe problem in teeth, we will help you using the latest technologies. Call our dentists in city riverside, ca at Woodcrest Dental Studio, we offer comprehensive services so you can get all of the treatment what you need.
